Financial Assistance Program

We're proud to ensure that the Y is accessible for all, giving everyone an opportunity to be healthy and thrive, to connect with others, and contribute to a better community.  Through generous donations to our Annual Campaign, financial assistance is available for YMCA programs and membership when support is needed.

Programs For All

Any individual or family who qualifies for "Membership For All" financial assistance, also receives the same discount on qualifying programs.

Eligibility

Any individual or family whose total combined gross household income is less than $70,000 per year is encouraged to apply.A sliding scale is used to determine how much assistance is awarded. Applications are available at the Welcome Center desk.

Annual income verification for all individuals in the household age 18 years or older is required.

Your contribution amount will be established based on combined household income and personal circumstances.

All rates and fees are to be kept confidential, as they are specific to individual circumstances.

All past balances need to be paid in full in order to renew a membership.

Applications will be reviewed for eligibility on a 12 month basis.

APPLICATION


Application Process

To apply for financial assistance, complete a MEMBERSHIP FOR ALL APPLICATION and return to the Y during Membership Hours, along with income verification documentation.

PROVIDE A COPY OF THE MOST CURRENT OF THE FOLLOWING INCOME VERIFICATION DOCUMENTATION, AS APPLICABLE.  The YMCA is not responsible for making copies of the necessary income verification documentation.  Please provide copies of documentation as forms will be shredded after review.

Applications returned without proper documentation will not be considered for financial assistance.

  1. Most recent federal income tax return (1040 or equivalent, not W-2 forms) is required for all individuals in the household age 18 years or older.

  2. If receiving SSI or disability benefits, then submit your most recent Social Security monthly benefit statement.

  3. Last two paystubs for all individuals in the household age 18 years or older.

  4. Child support and/or Alimony monthly documentation.

  5. Unemployment monthly compensation statement.

  6. Pension monthly benefit statement.

  7. Documentation with names of eligible person(s) for subsidized housing statement and food stamps statement.

  8. Verification of residence may be required for all those listed on the membership.

Eligibility for financial assistance will be determined during your meeting with a Membership Specialist, provided you  have completed application and provided all required income documentation. Applications will be kept on file for 30 days.  All unclaimed applications will be considered void and shredded after 30 days and the applicant will need to reapply.
