How Do You Unblock A Number On Iphone

Has someone been pestering you with unwanted phone calls? Want to prevent them from contacting you, but not sure how? If so, you're in luck. In this article, we'll walk you through the process of how to block or unblock a caller on your iPhone.

There are a couple of ways to do this, and we're going to start with the easiest method, which is to block someone through your call history.

To block someone through your iPhone call history:

1. On your home screen, tap Phone.

To access your call history, tap Phone on your home screen to launch your device's calling app.

2. View your call history and find a call from the contact you want to block. To the right of their number, tap the "i" button.

Scroll through the list of calls in your call history. Find the phone number of the person you'd like to block in your list of calls. To the right of their phone number, tap the "i" button to access more information.

3. Scroll down and tap Block this Caller.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and tap Block This Caller to indicate that you'd like to stop that person from contacting you.

4. Tap Block Contact to confirm that you'd like to block them.

You should see a button pop up at the bottom of your screen. To confirm that you want to prevent that person from contacting you, tap Block Contact at the bottom of your screen.

That's all you have to do to block someone from calling you on your iPhone. If the person you'd like to stop from contacting you is saved as a contact in your device, there is another method you can use. Next, we'll show you how to block a saved contact on your device.

To block a saved contact from calling you on your iPhone:

1. On your home screen, tap Settings.

Tap Settings on your home screen to launch the settings app on your iOS device.

2. Scroll down and tap Phone.

When your settings app opens, scroll down and tap Phone to access your calling settings.

3. Now tap Call Blocking & Identification.

On the next page, tap Call Blocking & Identification to add someone to your list of excluded callers.

4. Tap Block Contact.

To block a new contact, tap Block Contact.

5. Tap the search bar and type in the name of the person you're blocking.

You'll see a search bar at the top of your screen. Tap the search bar, and type in the name of the contact you would like to block.

6. Tap their name as it appears in the search results to block them.

Look at the results of your search. When it appears on your screen, tap the name of the contact you want to block. This will add the person to your list of disallowed callers.

Those are all the steps to blocking a contact saved in your device. If you ever decide that you want to re-allow someone to contact you, you can at any time. Now, we'll show you how to unblock someone on your iPhone.

To unblock someone on your iPhone:

1. Tap Settings on your main homepage.

On your home screen, tap the Settings icon to access your device settings.

2. Scroll down and tap Phone.

3. Next, tap Call Blocking & Identification.

On the next screen, tap Call Blocking & Identification to view a list of all the people you've prevented from contacting you.

4. In the top right corner, tap Edit.

To make changes to your blocked list, tap Edit in the top right corner of your screen.

5. Tap the Red Circle beside the name of the person you want to unblock.

You'll see red circles appear on the left side of each entry in your list of blocked contacts. Beside the name of the person you would like to unblock, tap the Red Circle icon.

6. Tap Unblock to remove that person from the list.

To remove this person from your list, tap the Unblock button where it appears to the right of their name. If ever you wish to block them again, you can go through the steps outlined in the first two sections above.
